» Book review written by DCSG members: John and Gabrielle

"First of all we were disappointed that not once were Donor Embryo issues mentioned, (we are Donor Embryo recipients with 2 DE children).

A compilation of numerous personal accounts of people at different stages of the IVF roller coaster, including deciding to and using donor sperm and eggs, considering adoption and when all else fails, trying to accept life without children. Discusses in depth how infertile couples deal with the effects of successes and failures, costs of treatment, cultural ideology, gender identity, etc.

This book may be suitable for those who are thinking of using Assisted Reproductive Technologies or have already commenced infertility treatment. The numerous personal experiences, even though” American”, are a good insight of what people go through to achieve having a child.

We felt that the book was a little too “in depth” at times for us but would be a good book for those who are researching this subject."

Thank you John and Gabrielle
