On 20 June 2017 the House of Representatives agreed to a Senate resolution that a joint select committee on oversight of the implementation of redress related recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse be established following the tabling of the final report of the Royal Commission.

The Royal Commission delivered its final report on 15 December 2017. It is anticipated the Joint Select Committee will meet for the first time in February 2018. Further information about the joint select committee, including the process for making submissions, will be available following its first meeting.

Senator Hinch (Chair), Ms Claydon MP, Mr Dick MP, Senator Duniam, Senator Moore and Senator Siewert

Participating members

Senators Brockman, Di Natale, Hanson-Young, McKim, Rhiannon, Rice and Whish-Wilson

Other members will be appointed to the committee at a later date.
