Care Leavers Australia Network (CLAN), an advocacy and support group for those who spent some or all of their time in church, charity or state institutional homes is also a strong advocate for the establishment of a Royal Commission into not only sexual abuse by the Catholic Church but also by the Salvation Army, Anglicans, Brethern, Methodists, Presbyterians, Sydney City Mission and others who under the guise of religion and trust raped, digitally raped, and committed all types of sexual perversions upon children who were entrusted to their care. Priests, nuns, Salvation Army officers, and workers of all denominations have a sad and sorry history of abusive practices. Too many children who were raised in care have committed suicide, are in prison, psychiatric hospitals, or lead hemit existences because of their childhood experiences at the hands of these people. The pitiful and poor apologies given do nothing to ease the torment that still exists as churches run for cover and still try to cover up their past crimes. George Pell typifies the attiude of church leaders - the lies and asinine comments that they all use are a national disgrqace and the only way it can be fixed is for the truth to come out, and for churches to be held accountable and for them to pay some form of meaningful redress. They all value their money than the people they committed crimes against and it is now time to make them accountable. CLAN News Flash
